My Story
My first coffee was from the contractors' counter at a well-known "big-box" home supply store. It was terrible, and I couldn't believe why people guzzle coffee. But, it literally woke me up and focused me for the day. A spark also began to burn for a cup of coffee that not only charged my mind and body but excited my imagination and palate. Short time later, I was drinking it black and loving the depth and multitude of variance between each roast.
As the years passed, the original ember for great coffee burned into a fiery passion for depth, flavor, excitement, and curiosity all in a single cup. Increasingly, this passion became harder to satiate in the Enfield area of the Upper Valley. The entrepreneur in me started dreaming and trying to solve this crisis.
In the summer of 2024, I drove by the store front on Main Street in Enfield and thought, "That'd be a great place for a coffee shop." A short while later, it was available, and I jumped at the chance to share my love for terrific coffee.
I believe that coffee should not be a catalyst for sugar consumption but should be deeply satisfying "black." Then, with that proper foundation of exceptional coffee, anything you add simply enhances the liquid dream instead of being the driving force of flavor and experience. Of course, coffee flavor is entirely preferential. I won't stop you from adding to your cup.
Why call it "Carpenter's Cup"? Our building was originally Fogg’s Hardware in the early 1900's. So, we tip our hat to the building’s original legacy and to a long-standing Upper Valley business. Furthermore, the founder and managing director is not only a carpenter who operates Tom's Carpentry, LLC, but also a Pastor at New Beginnings Church of Lebanon.

Mission
Carpenter’s Cup seeks to craft a family focused community using coffee as the catalyst and to promote family values and stable communities.
Vision
We dare to dream of a space in which the coffee palate is pleased through incredible coffees, espressos, and other cafe items. We want to build a stable community and provide a space where not only the young professional, student, or senior citizen enjoys visiting but also the entire family. From "Phone-Free-Friday" events to block parties to a free community room available for reservation, we have the drive, experience, and passion to impact Main Street.
